homecoming

Well, this weekend was awesome! Saturday I saw a ton of family, my old KIP director, went to an awesome soccer game (Mitch scored!!!), sat by Jeffrey as he stuffed an entire thing of cotton candy into his mouth (absolutly hillarious), and watched two movies. The Legend of Zoro is AMAZING!!! I laughed through almost the entire movie, and probably ticked off the majority of the movie theater, cause I don't laugh softly.

To make a long story short, I was sitting on the floor because I was laughing to hard to stand. Arienne came out to return my ducktape, and Kim grabbed it and attacked me...yeah...

The bell is ringing, so I have a half hour till work study...yipee

Hotel Rwanda

I have never been so challenged by a movie. And of all the questions it raised, the main one is:
When will I be ready to go?

I'm freezing!!!

Ok, so yesterday the weather decided to FREEZE everyone and today as well. The plus side? It's pajama day and I'm nice and toasty.
Last night was movie on the lawn, and yes, I went. The girls were all huddled together, laughing and talking.

boom boom

haha...memories from movie night Friday

ok, to answer Jamin's question, Dave Barnes is a "nobody" acustic singer. He's Christian but is a secular artist. And that's about all I know about him...

I love my RA

Ok, so it's 1:15 in the morning and all the sudden I hear:

"OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH!!!"

So, naturally, I investigate. Kristie, my lovely RA, was freaking out all over the hall. And when I say freaking out, I mean jumping-everywhere-shoes-flying freaking out. I asked her what happened, and she said "I emailed Dave Barnes, AND HE RESPONDED!!!!" hahaha

now back to my homework...I am such a procrastinator

Sunday lunch...always an experience

Some family friends, the Thompsons, stayed at my house this weekend. Daphne and Mom used to work together at SWU a long time ago. They were in Charleston and are noe in Rock Hill, so it was awesome to see them today. Adam is my sister's age, and Darby and Jorden are 12 year old twins. Some snippets from our lunch conversation:

"Scurry's dead?" -Adam
"Yeah, she died while you were on that three-week trip." -Jordan
"Oh." -Adam
"When was your trip?" -me
"The middle of the summer." -Adam
"And you've just now figured this out?!?" -Emily

(with a glass to his ear) "Shhh -- I can hear the ocean (Jordan puts a glass to his ear with a confused look) ...now it sounds like someone peeing." -Adam

and the quote of all quotes (from today, at least):
"How do you way ghetto in Spanish? Ge-he-toe?" -Jordan

Gloria the Hippo: Don't make me come up there, I'll get the whuppin on both o' y'all.

Yay for Kevin, Cameron, Cha, Elise, Em, and Charleton. Supper was sooo much fun. A few quotes for you:

"Now back to what I was saying...I have no idea what I was saying" ~Kevin

"du-du-du-du-du-du, WOOOOOH!" Em and Cha

"You have a hemi?" ~Kevin
"Yeah, it's a V-8 hemi, I got it from an old lady" ~Kehl
(acting out the hemi commercials as an old lady) "You got a hemi? You want one? I think I've got one in my purse somewhere..." ~Cameron

And there was this odd moment where Cha was using a weird, jerky form of sign language when she was laughing so hard she couldn't talk...

I love my friends :o)

class skit

Yay! We actually pulled a skit together for the panel tonight. I'm not so sure that it's all that good, but we can always practice (considering that our first run-though was in front of the panel).

Look! It's my castle!! haha.

I miss being able to say "bibity-bopity-boo" or "RADIOTOWER!!!" and then die laughing with Suzi and Billy... :o(

prayer request

A girl from my church, Anna, had two brain anurims Friday night. Right now she's in the hospital in a drug indused coma. PLEASE pray for her and her family and friends. It's brought back so many memories of Chrissy...

song

Yeah, it's not a band I normally listen to, but I heard this somg on the radio tonight and LOVED it:
Crazy - Simple Plan
Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look I see
Young girls dying to be on TV
They won't stop till they've reached their dreams
Diet pills,surgery
Photoshoped pictures in magazines
Telling them how they should be
It doesnt make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me whats going on
If you open your eyes,
you'll see that something is wrong

I guess things are not how they used to be
There's no more normal family's
Parents act like enemies
Making kids feel like its world war 3
No one cares,no ones there
I guess we're all just too darn busy
Money's our first priority
It doesnt make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something's wrong
Is everybody going crazy?
Is everybody going crazy?

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look I see
Rich guys driving big SUV's
While kids are starving in the streets
No one cares
No one likes to share
I guess lifes unfair

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something
Something is wrong
Is everybody going crazy?
Can any body tell me whats going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes you'll see
that something is wrong

See Nimaj? I'm not gone...just busy.

Quote of the day:
"Hey Sean, have you ever gone skinny-dipping?" ~Andy
"I'll tell you the same thing I said when I went to Mardi Gras - no one wants to see me naked...ever!" ~Sean
"What are you going to do with your wife? Blindfold her?" ~Andy
"I'll get her a pair of pirate eye patches. Arrgg! Shiver me timbers!" ~Sean

And yet another, also from Sean:
"Did you hear? They're creating The Land Before Time 14: WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE!?!"

Say it with me now...

pro-cras-ti-na-tion

I don't think any Stu-B residents went to bed before midnight, maybe a few before 1. Some stayed up almost or all night. I got some sleep...about 4 1/2. I missed everyone so much. I was sooo excited when I saw Britt, even if she did give my cookies to Mitch ;-) I'll get some eventually...I hope.
"I'm related to Robert E. Lee. I've heard that's cool in the south." ~Michelle
haha-I love her. I was in their room for a long time last night.

Now I have to study for english...blah

But hey! My sister's 16th birthday party is tonight!!! She's getting so old...

I love sleepovers

"It's not even midnight and I'm already on my second bottle." ~Rebecca Street

That's water folks, there's no alchohol needed for us to act crazy.

Saturday nights...oh joy

Lets just say that I remember now why my mother forbid me to ride with Mike Cotten. Oh my word he scares me, and he was sober. I NEVER want to see him drunk.

Otherwise, Daniel didn't do so well at Pendelton, but I love them anyways.

Now I'm chilling in my room with Becca.

Friday

Today is the first day all week that I can actually choose what I want to wear first thing in the morning. Yesterday was the last day of choir tour, and I don't even get to sleep in 'cause I'm going to the chiropractor. YAY!!! It's gonna feel so good.

We did a total of 13 concerts in five days. The first one was at Brevard Wesleyan. I don't remember the man's name, but the speaker that morning was the pastor there in the early 50s. As sad as it is, the only part I remember is the story he told at the end. When he was pastor there he went to the district convention. The other pastors were making fun of him because he had the most children of any of the pastors. He told them that it was their fault because the parsonage was right next to the train tracks, and when the train went by at 4 in the morning it woke them up. Since they couldn't sleep, what else could they do? The choir was sitting behind him and I know that we were all rolling.

la la la

My band did so well last week! I'm so excited for them. Yesterday (Tuesday) we left Blue Ridge right as school was ending and the pitlings were draging their equipment outside. I was thinking, "I miss marching band, but not that much!" haha.

So Jessica and I were in the bathroom hiding tonight. Jess was freaking out (well, we both were) and I was trying my hardest not to laugh. haha Yay for choir tour stories.

I seriously need sleep...
